Anthony Hatzimoysis is Associate Professor of Contemporary Philosophy at the University of Athens, and is a regular visiting academic at Alliance Manchester Business School, and at Pepperdine Graziadio Business School, Malibu, having held academic posts at the University College London (UCL), the University of Manchester, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

 

He has been an invited speaker at several insitutions, including the University of Oxford, La Sorbonne, the London School of Economics, and the University of St Petersburg. 

Anthony is a co-founder of the European Philosophical Society for the Study of Emotions, based at Basel, Swtizerland.

His books are published by Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, and Routledge. 

He has been a referee for European, Canadian, and UK Funding Bodies, as well as for Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, Polity, Rowman & LitllefieldRoutledge, and for the periodicals British Journal for Aesthetics, British Journal for the History of Philosophy, Dialectica, European Journal of Philosophy, Journal of Aesthetics and Art Critisicm, Mind, Pacific Philosophical Quarterly, Philosophical Quarterly, Sythese, et al.

His current reserach focuses on the nature of moods, the limits of self-knowledge, and existentialism; his work on the philosophy of emotions received a cover-page review by Times Literary Supplement.
